U.S. Fish & Wildlife
Alabama Field Office to Participate in Earth Day Mobile Bay
The mission of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is to work with others to conserve, protect and enhance the environment. What better way to do this than by participating in Earth Day? The Alabama Field Office will bring a display of educational materials, featuring fish, wildlife, plants and their habitats.
Alabama is rich in diversity. Protecting and restoring imperiled species can be overwhelming, and with so many species in trouble, there’s no time to lose. That’s why biologists are following the Alabama Field Office’s Strategic Five-Year Plan, which prioritizes the most imperiled habitat types and species.
Earth Day gives the Alabama Field Office a platform to teach the public about what we protect, and why it’s important to protect it. We will do this by handing out pamphlets, posters, and answering questions about wildlife.
