Rebirth Frames
Recycling materials from Katrina
Decorative art by Captain Mark T. Anderson
Rebirth Frames are constructed mainly from the siding, doors, and door frames of homes in and around the New Orleans area that have been leveled, destroyed, or are being rebuilt due to their destruction by hurricane Katrina. The majority of the siding has several, if not countless, coats of paint, making them extremely colorful and each one distinctly different. I am using this old wood and attempting to preserve a bit of the city I grew up in and still call home.
A percentage of all proceeds will be sent to Habitat for Humanity to restore my city and help build a better tomorrow.
