at Earth Day Mobile Bay

"We raced to paint, against impending stormy weather. The final step, as the gray skies broke over us, was to add the clean sand of Mobile Bay to the painting, to commemorate the day and location of this timely project."
The 2010 ESAC exhibit was part of the A River Runs Through It, a grant supported project funded by the Alabama
'Support the Arts' License Tag,
that had students in different parts of the state complete murals that show the waters and rivers of Alabama and the wildlife, plantlife and humans who depend on the water.
Nancy Raia, ESAC's Community Arts Director,
brought the murals together at ESAC for a first exhibit in August - September of 2010.
