Anti-Litter Campaign Award

Bryleigh Johnson's award winning Anti Littering t-shirt_design Fairhope is kicking off the spring season by encouraging residents of all ages to keep the community clean and beautiful with an anti-litter campaign.

Students in the 5th grade in Fairhope recently took part in a contest to design an anti-litter campaign poster for the City of Fairhope. The winner of the contest was Bryleigh Johnson from the J. Larry Newton School. She will have her design on t-shirts that will be given to each 5th grade student and she will also be recognized at the Annual Earth Day Mobile Bay celebration on Saturday, April 27.

Mayor Kant and Bryleigh Johnson To receive a free t-shirt, students will be ask to sign a pledge to not litter, to educate others about littering and its negative impacts and to be a role model to others by cleaning up in front of their house. Students will sign pledges the week of April 22nd and will receive a free t-shirt to wear to the April 27th Earth Day Mobile Bay celebration.
